These days, powder coating is the prevailing method for surface protection, as an environment friendly technology. It does not entail emission of organic solvents into the environment, there is no waste sludge or waste water from painting chambers, and the emissions of powder particles are negligible. A further advantage over wet painting is the achievement of thicker anti-corrosion layer with a single coat.
Powder coating may employ different methods (dipping, electrostatic dispersion, etc.) with polyester or polyurethane based powders.
Curing-polymerisation takes place in convection or IR driers - ovens, at temperatures from 160 to 200 oC. Our range of metal component powder painting equipment includes devices for different applications in the automotive industry, tractor and bus production, production of residential and storage containers, fittings, electric devices and equipment, foundries, steel structures, metal furniture, and for single-piece manufacture.
A powder painting line usually consists of a pre-treatment station, coat application station - electrostatic powder application chamber, a polymerisation oven, a cooler and a manual or automated conveyor system.
